Overview

The Lower Manaslu Eco Trail is a newly developed community-based trekking route in the beautiful Gorkha district of Nepal. This off-the-beaten-path journey combines nature, culture and gentle adventure while introducing visitors to the authentic lifestyle of local Gurung communities. The trail passes through peaceful villages, lush forests, terraced farmland and scenic hills, with views of Mount Manaslu and surrounding Himalayan peaks on clear days.

Along the way, travelers stay in welcoming community homestays, enjoy local cuisine, visit Tama Khani (Copper Mine) and Sita Ghufa (Sita Cave), watch sunrise from Dharche Hill and discover the history and culture of Lower Manaslu. It is an excellent choice for visitors seeking an authentic Himalayan experience away from Nepal’s crowded trekking routes.

Important Note

Mountain views depend on weather conditions. Driving times may vary with road and traffic conditions. The Dharche High Camp night uses tented accommodation, so travelers should bring warm layers suitable for cool mountain evenings.
