Welcome to Nepal! Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, a representative from World Himalaya will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Take the rest of the day to relax and recover from your journey, or explore the nearby streets of Thamel at your leisure.
After breakfast, begin your guided sightseeing tour of the Kathmandu Valley. Visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites including Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and the Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple). After sightseeing, we'll assist you in preparing documents for your Tibet group visa application.
After breakfast, embark on the scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (approx. 200 km, ~7 hours). On arrival, experience a relaxing boat ride on serene Phewa Lake (742m–800 m), and visit the beautiful island Tal Barahi Temple. Enjoy the lakeside ambiance at dusk.
Rise early and head up to Sarangkot (~1,450 m), a hilltop viewpoint offering spectacular sunrise views over Phewa Lake and the Annapurna range. After breakfast, continue to visit Devi’s Falls, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, and the Tibetan refugee camp. An optional stop at the International Mountain Museum is available.
Depart Pokhara after breakfast and drive back to Kathmandu. Transfer from Kathmandu to the scenic hill town of Dulikhel, known for Himalayan views and cultural ambiance.
Today you travel along the Friendship Highway into Tibet, arriving at Nyalam in the afternoon. The gradual climb offers stunning mountain vistas. Spend the afternoon acclimatizing with a gentle walk around town.
Journey onward to Shigatse, Tibet’s second-largest city. Arrive by afternoon, then enjoy free time to explore local markets or visit viewpoints.
Visit the historic Tashilhunpo Monastery (~3,950 m), the seat of the Panchen Lama, before driving back to Lhasa through scenic Tibetan countryside.
Begin your exploration with a visit to the iconic Potala Palace, followed by a stroll around Barkhor Bazaar, then visit Jokhang Temple. In the afternoon, head to Sera Monastery to witness the expressive monk debates.
Drive across the high plateau to visit Yamdrok Lake, then proceed to Gyantse, stopping to explore Pelkhor Kumbum and the historic Gyantse Dzong before checking in at your hotel.
Visit the remote Rongbuk Monastery (~5,154 m), the world’s highest monastery, offering panoramic views of Everest. Continue to Tingri for overnight rest.
Begin your descent from the Tibetan Plateau back into Nepal and drive toward Kathmandu, crossing the border and returning to familiar city surroundings.
Enjoy a day at leisure. You may opt for shopping, spa pampering, or venture out to nearby view spots like Nagarkot or Dhulikhel for Himalayan panoramas.
After breakfast, check out by noon, and enjoy a warm send-off before being transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward flight.
