Highlights

Overview

The Panchase Trek is a perfect introduction to Himalayan trekking, ideal for beginners and families looking to experience Nepal's natural beauty without the challenge of high-altitude trekking. The route offers a serene journey through tranquil forests, terraced fields, and quaint villages, where you can interact with the local Gurung and Brahmin communities. A scenic flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara marks the start, and the trek leads you to Panchase Bhanjyang and the panoramic summit of Panchase Hill, offering breathtaking sunrise views of the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Manaslu ranges.
As you hike through lush rhododendron forests, visit peaceful villages, and enjoy unforgettable views, the trek provides a peaceful retreat from more crowded trails. After a sunrise hike to Panchase Hill, you'll descend through charming settlements and head back to Pokhara for a relaxing evening by Phewa Lake. The trek concludes with a scenic drive back to Kathmandu, where you’ll have time to explore or shop before your departure.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m/4,592ft)

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our local representative will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel in Thamel, the city's colorful tourist district. After some rest, you’ll join a pre-trek briefing to go over the route, gear, and what to expect. Enjoy the evening at your leisure, perhaps trying local momos or a rooftop café view.

Day 2 : Fly to Pokhara (800m/2,624ft) and Trek to Bumdi Village (1,520m/4,986ft)

After a scenic morning flight to Pokhara—with mountain views right from your airplane window—we’ll begin our trek. A short drive takes us to the starting point, where we begin hiking uphill through lush forest and terraced fields. The trail is serene and shaded, eventually reaching Bumdi, a peaceful village with a close-knit Gurung community. Overnight at a cozy teahouse.

Day 3 : Trek from Bumdi to Panchase Bhanjyang (2,065m/6,775ft)

Today’s trek takes us higher along a forested ridge that gradually opens up to spectacular views of snow-capped peaks. You’ll pass through rhododendron forests, small chortens, and quiet resting spots along the way. By afternoon, we reach Panchase Bhanjyang—a quiet village perched beneath Panchase Hill. Weather permitting, you’ll be treated to a magical sunset over the Himalayas.

Day 4 : Hike to Panchase Hill (2,500m/8,202ft), Trek to Naudanda (1,515m/4,970ft) via Bhadaure (1,670m/5,479ft), and Drive to Pokhara

We start early to ascend Panchase Hill for sunrise—one of the most beautiful vantage points in the Annapurna region. The panoramic view of Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri, and even Manaslu in the distance is unforgettable. After soaking it all in, we descend through the charming village of Bhadaure, eventually reaching Naudanda. From here, we drive back to Pokhara, where you can enjoy a relaxed evening by Phewa Lake.

Day 5 : Drive Back to Kathmandu (1,400m/4,592ft)

After breakfast, we leave Pokhara behind and begin our journey back to Kathmandu by private vehicle. The scenic highway follows rivers, cliffs, and farmlands, offering one last taste of Nepal’s countryside. Upon arrival, you’ll have the evening free for last-minute shopping or relaxation.

Day 6 : Final Departure

Depending on your flight time, we’ll arrange your airport transfer. If you have a few extra hours, consider a final visit to a local café or stupa before we part ways. Safe travels and namaste!
