Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. You will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel by private vehicle. In the evening, a briefing meeting will be held to discuss your program.

Day 2 : Kathmandu Sightseeing & Trip Preparation

After breakfast, enjoy a sightseeing tour around the Kathmandu Valley visiting UNESCO World Heritage Sites including Swayambhunath, Patan Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa. Return to hotel for rest and trip preparation.

Day 3 : Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara (200 km / approx. 6 hours)

After breakfast, depart for Pokhara by private jeep. En route, enjoy scenic countryside views with rivers, villages, and mountain panoramas including Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhare, and Annapurna peaks. In the late afternoon, explore and boat on Fewa Lake.

Day 4 : Drive Pokhara – Beni – Tatopani (2600 m elevation) (110 km / 6–7 hours)

Travel west to Beni on a paved road, then continue off-road following the Kali Gandaki River, the world’s deepest gorge. Arrive at Tatopani, known for natural hot springs and local culture.

Day 5 : Drive Tatopani – Kagbeni (2900 m) via Marpha and Jomsom, visit Muktinath Temple (3800 m) (95 km / 5–6 hours)

Drive through villages like Kalopani and Ghasa, visit apple farms in Marpha, and explore Jomsom market. Visit the sacred Muktinath Temple complex with 108 holy taps, Jal Devi natural gas fire, Jharkot monastery, and enjoy mountain views. Overnight in Kagbeni.

Day 6 : Kagbeni – Ghami Village (3520 m) via Syngboche Pass (4200 m) (32 km / approx. 6 hours)

Morning visit to Kagbeni Monastery and Buddhist School. After obtaining the Upper Mustang permit, drive across Kaligandaki River near Chhusang, then ascend through Chella, Samar, Syangboche, Bhina, Ghiling to Ghami village. Enjoy stunning landscapes and Tibetan culture.

Day 7 : Ghami – Lo-Manthang (17 km / approx. 3 hours)

Visit important monasteries: Lo Gager Ghar Gompa, Charang monastery, Jampa Gompa (the oldest, known as "God House"), Thubchen Gompa (large assembly hall), Chodey Gompa (main city gompa), and Monastic Museum. Observe domestic yak caravans, mountain views, local art, and King’s Palace in Lo-Manthang.

Day 8 : Exploration in Lo-Manthang

After breakfast, spend the day exploring the ancient capital of Upper Mustang, Lo-Manthang. Visit Namgyal Gompa, a significant monastery known for its religious importance and stunning architecture. Discover the rich local culture by strolling through the narrow alleys, traditional homes, and markets of Lo-Manthang. Learn about the art, customs, and lifestyles of the Mustang people. Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and landscapes. Return to your guesthouse for dinner and rest.

Day 9 : Visit to Chhosar and Tibet Border Exploration

After breakfast, take a jeep excursion to Chhosar Village to visit the famous sky caves, including the Shija Jhong cave, which dates back over 3,000 years and has been an archaeological site of international interest. Explore other nearby caves used historically for burial, meditation, and habitation. Learn about the traditional sky burial practice still observed in the region. Continue your drive towards the Tibet border for scenic views and cultural insight into this remote frontier area. Return to Lo-Manthang guesthouse in the evening.

Day 10 : Drive Lo-Manthang – Jomsom (2743 m) (50 km / 6–7 hours)

Drive back crossing local villages, the Kali Gandaki River, Buddhist stupas, and monasteries. In the evening, explore Jomsom’s local market.

Day 11 : Drive Jomsom – Tatopani / Beni – Pokhara (6–7 hours)

Early morning departure for the return journey to Pokhara.

Day 12 : Rest Day in Pokhara

Relax around the lakeside, enjoy shopping and local attractions at your leisure.

Day 13 : Drive Pokhara – Kathmandu (approx. 6 hours)

Return to Kathmandu by private vehicle. Free afternoon for shopping or relaxation.

Day 14 : Departure

Transfer to Tribhuwan International Airport by private tourist vehicle for your final departure.
